It’s liberating (and a bit sad, in some situations) to grow up and realize that you don’t have to continue the same family traditions you grew up with—so you invent your own. In last week’s newsletter, I loved reading about one witch’s tradition of Sibling Night, wherein her kids order their preferred takeout food, watch their preferred movie and are sequestered in the basement. They bond while the parents get a break. Genius. What’s a family tradition that you came up with on your own (either for holidays or ‘ordinary time’)?
