I've been a subscriber for a good while now and a reader for even longer, but this was lovely to read. Also it cleared up a tiny question in the back of my head - I had gotten everything you said from reading the newsletter, but had always wondered whether the target audience also included actual witches, ie practitioners of witchcraft. You'd maybe be surprised how long it's been that nothing has contradicted this 😂
I should include this in the updated About page because I considered including a note about it but didn't. No, it was named in a flippant manner to connote mean ladies, but is not associated with official witchcraft although I have friends who are, and they're amazing and I respect what they do.
Hi! from a childfree witch. I forget which other substack suggested you to me, but I'm so glad I found your writing and this community. My sister is a mom of twin toddler boys and I've learned a lot here about how to be the best helper, sister, and auntie I can be.
thank you! It means a lot to hear you enjoy it. And it is good to have understanding people in your corner when you wrangling twin toddlers so I bet she is thankful for you.

I’ve been a subscriber for a while but I enjoyed reading this top to bottom! Thanks for creating a wonderful little community for us, Claire.
Thank you Carla!
YES! I knew I loved EW for all these reasons but you just laid it out so succinctly. What, are you a writer or something? :)
thank you! I worried I was losing the thread sometimes and/or forgetting a lot of things.
Love this reminder/upgrade to your "about" page.
Thank you! This was a tip I got from a valuable (and fun) consult with Hanne at Substack. It was hard to do for some reason but I'm glad I did.
I’ve loved EW as a non-subscriber, but this post had me racing subscribe. Yes yes yes to all these things!
